News Authentic acts, document authentication, and signature recognition by videoconference 23/07/2021

It was approved yesterday, in Council of Ministers, the decree-law that lays the legal framework which regulates the realization through videoconferencing of authentic acts, terms of authentication of private documents and signature recognitions. This scheme seeks to enable the online provision of this type of services, to respond to the limitations to the practice of face-to-face acts imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, while ensuring the maintenance of security and authenticity guarantees and compliance with the legal formalities applicable to such acts. The decree-law that will regulate the manner in which these acts are drawn up at a distance will be published soon.
