News CNPD suspends collection of biometric data by Worldcoin 02/04/2024

The National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority for data protection, issued Resolution/2024/137 on 25 March 2024, which determined the temporary suspension of the collection of biometric data, namely iris, eye and face scans, carried out by the Worldcoin Foundation, for a period of 90 (ninety) days, in order to safeguard the fundamental right to the protection of personal data, especially of minors.
