News GPA Executive Breakfast Debates New Legal Regime for the Distribution of Insurance and Reinsurance 04/02/2019
The New Legal Regime for the Distribution of Insurance and Reinsurance - Law no. 7/2019, of 16 January, will be in debate at the next Executive Breakfast of GPA Advogados / GPA Academy. As usual, the meeting will take place at the premises of GPA Advogados, at Rua Sousa Martins, no 1 – 6th, in Lisbon, on the 19 February, from 9am to 10am.
This new regime transposes the European directive No. 2016/97, reinforcing the requirements concerning the taking-up and pursuit of the activities of insurance and reinsurance distribution in the Union, establishing mandatory professional training for workers, and the requirements on insurance sales..
This document also includes the process rules for administrative sanctions and insurance and pension funds special crimes, which should be processed by the national supervisory authority.
